Garrett Steven Stiegman, 25, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010. He was born July 8, 1984, in Savannah, and lived in Glennville and Charlotte, North Carolina, most of his life. He was dedicated to Christ, and regularly attended Abundant Faith Church in Reidsville. He was a sponsor of a child from Rwanda in the Food for the Hungry Ministries. He was an avid self-taught guitarist/songwriter, and was a full-time student of the University of Phoenix. He was employed with Trane Residential Solutions of Vidalia as a Production Technician. He attended Tattnall County High School, and was a graduate of the Class of 2003 of Central Cabarrus High School in North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Imogene Stiegman.

He is survived by his parents, Steve Stiegman of Glennville and Kim Davis Hayes (J.T.) of Charlotte, North Carolina; stepbrother, Jonathan Carver of Hephzibah; maternal grandparents, Shirley Purvis Whitson (Andy) of Claxton and Buddy Davis of Savannah; special second mother, Pam McCord of Glennville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 23, from the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, with the Pastor John Price officiating. Burial was in Mendes Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrell Wedding, Justin Davis, Brandon Waters, Jordan Knight, Brent Kicklighter, A.J. Whitson, and Sam Busby.
