HARRISBURG - Jessica Veronica Kearney, 20, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007. Daughter of Carole and Brian Kearney, Jessica was born in New Haven, Conn., on Dec. 21, 1986. Besides her parents, she leaves her brother, Brian; and sister, Brittany. She was preceded in death by a sister, Alyssa. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Helen Walter of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and her paternal grandfather, Desmond Kearney of Connecticut. A 2005 graduate of Central Cabarrus High School, Jessica was a sophomore at Central Piedmont Community College. She had been employed at Texas Roadhouse for four years. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1400 Suther Road, Charlotte.
