Concord -- Aydlett James "Jay" Eure II, 49 of 3011 Walter Dr, passed away early Tuesday morning at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at West Concord Baptist Church where Rev. Mike Farley and Rev. Rick McDaniel will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Jay was born on March 2, 1956 in Richmond, VA to Aydlett James "A.J." Eure Jr. of Sims, NC and Ann Hoffler Eure of Harrisburg, NC. He was employed by Kollogg's Corporation in Huntersville. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was an active member of West Concord Baptist Church where he served as a deacon Sunday school teacher. He was the sound technician and gave much of his time to the church's youth group.
In addition to both of his parents Jay is survived by his wife, Tina Powell Eure; daughters, Dallas Eure in college in Starksvill, Miss. and Danelle Eure of the home; brotherMichael Eure of Midland; and his Grandmother Edna Rice Hoffler of Smithville, VA.

After some research, I found that both the Social Security Administration and Carolina Memorial Park list his death date as 7/28/2005. There is even an obituary from the Charlotte Observer available at Legacy.com with that same date.

I updated the date in the title from the 26th, but left "Tuesday" as day of death, even though Thursday was the 28th.

Confusing, to say the least! If anyone has the difinitive answer, please let us know. Two days is not a significant gap, but I do like to be thorough.
