Welcome to the world of

This is the new and improved Central Cabarrus Alumni website.  It offers a mainstream, easy-to-use method for updating the information displayed on its pages.  It also offers many features, most of which are easily downloaded and installed as plug-ins.

Joomla! is a Content Management System (CMS) which, simply put, creates web pages from content stored in a database or other web sites.  What this will do in part is allow alumni from anywhere with Internet access to create and change the articles themselves, and Joomla! will handle creating the pages to display the changes.

Additionally, once we begin to build the alumni contact lists, we will have an invaluable tool for reunion planning!!  Registered members will be able to manage their own contact information, while other alumni can be added and updated by members with the proper permissions, to maintain privacy.  Mass emailing, phone canvassing, and distributing formal invitations will be a breeze!
