After researching many options and spending hours installing several "trial and error" programs, the Central Cabarrus Alumni website now has a full featured Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) System!  Okay, it's a really big online phonebook which contains registered member's information.  But wait!  There's more!  It also allows us to add contact info for ALL our alumni! So, those who have not yet registered on the website can be added as well.

We can use it to create telephone lists, print mailing labels, and even send periodic EMail Newsletters, all targeted to the appropriate groups.  Newly registered alumni are automatically added to their class year group, as long as they identify the Class Year in their contact info.  Additionally, I hope to use the software to create event registrations for reunions, where members can use PayPal (or one of several other payment sites) to send registration payments electronically!  This software program is so chock full of capabilities, I can't begin to list them all here!

If anyone has a contact list of classmates, regardless of the format (Word, Excel, Access, Comma-Separated-Values [CSV], etc.), please send it to me so I can import it into this list.

For those with privacy concerns: your street address, email address, phone numbers, and all other such information is visible only to you and to the system administrators.  Currently, there is one sysadmin -- me!  I hope there can soon be an admin/secretary designated per class year to collect and maintain the information for their former classmates who have not registered.

Please take a moment to check out this new featurel.   Click on My Contact Info in the Main Menu, and update your contact fields.  Also, try the Search Contacts menu item.  These areas are still in testing, so feel free to report any problems you find.
